WORKSHOP WORKING FOREMAN - FORKLIFT

JOB DESCRIPTION The Forklift Operator’s primary purpose is to provide support as dictated by operational requirements in the form of moving material, bags, bins and other products. The following tasks will include, but are not limited to:<ul><li>Carry out daily inspections of the Forklift and report any faults</li><li>Do general maintenance and cleaning of the Forklift</li><li>Move and place scrap metal material were instructed</li><li>Load and off-load scrap metal on and off trucks or containers</li><li>Complete check lists and log sheets</li><li>Maintain safe working procedures at all times</li><li>Abide by the regulations as set out in the O.H.S.A and company policies</li></ul> Applicants must have the following qualifying criteria:<ul><li>Grade 12 certificate or equivalent</li><li>Valid Forklift license and/or certificate</li><li>2 – 5 years relevant experience</li><li>Willingness to work overtime</li><li>Previous experience in a physically demanding working environment would be advantageous</li></ul> Attributes:<ul><li>Committed, hardworking and self-motivated</li><li>Time management and organizational skills</li><li>Display a professional work approach</li><li>Ability to work independently and within a team</li><li>Flexible and willing to work overtime and shifts</li></ul> Shortlisted applicants will be subject to background checks including credit, criminal and polygraph testing.
